Wonder & WILD 2.0

Homeschooling should be simple enough to follow and rich enough to matter.

For the past few months, something very exciting has been happening behind the scenes at Wonder & Wild. While families have been getting on with their homeschool days, reading on the couch, heading off to co-ops, building projects, doing maths at the kitchen table and sharing beautiful little wins inside our community, Wonder & Wild has been quietly growing into something even richer.

Wonder & Wild has grown so much since it first launched. Families have joined us from right across Australia and around the world, and it has been one of the greatest privileges to watch this community begin to take shape. Parents who once felt overwhelmed have started to find their feet. Children who were once reluctant have begun to light up again. Families are discovering that homeschooling can be strong, structured, beautiful and still genuinely enjoyable.

As all of that was happening, one question kept coming back to the surface: how can this be even better for families? Wonder & Wild could have stayed exactly as it was, and families would still have loved it, but that has never really been the vision. The heart has always been to stay at the forefront of homeschooling, to keep refining, and to keep asking what families actually need at the kitchen table on an ordinary Tuesday morning when everyone is still in pyjamas, someone has lost a pencil and the toddler is eating the playdough.

So over the past few months, almost every part of the program has been rebuilt, refined and rethought. For a while, this project was jokingly called Wonder & Wild 2.0, simply because that was the easiest way to describe the size of what was happening. But from today, it is simply Wonder & Wild. The same heart, the same philosophy, the same belief that children deserve strong academics and a beautiful childhood, just expanded into something simpler, richer and more complete.

🗄️ A BRAND NEW PORTAL

The first big change is the new platform. Everything has been redesigned to feel calm, clean and much easier to navigate. Your weeks are clearer, the resources are easier to find and the whole experience feels far more organised.

That matters because when you are homeschooling, the last thing you need is to waste half your morning clicking around trying to work out where something lives. You want to know what you are doing, open the lesson, gather what you need and get on with actually learning with your child. The new portal has been created to make the homeschool day feel smoother from the very beginning, with less time managing curriculum and more time living it.

📆 A SIMPLER WEEKLY RHYTHM

One of the most exciting changes is the new weekly rhythm. Each week, children continue with English and Mathematics because those are the foundations. Reading, writing and number matter deeply, and they need consistent attention. Alongside those foundations, each week now focuses on one additional subject in a deeper, more project-based and creative way.

Instead of trying to squeeze every subject into every week and ending up with little bits of everything scattered everywhere, your child gets to spend time with one rich focus. One week it might be Science. Another week it might be History. Then Geography, Visual Arts, Drama, Digital Technologies, Design and Technologies, Health, Civics, Economics or another learning area. Across the year, the subjects are all covered properly, but the week itself feels simpler and more focused.

This is such a game-changer for homeschool families because it gives children time to actually sink into the learning. They are researching, building, creating, discussing, drawing, writing, investigating and making something meaningful with what they are learning. It is a calmer rhythm for parents and a richer way of learning for children.

For preschoolers, the rhythm is even gentler, with three days a week instead of four, because little children need time to play, move, rest, explore and be little. That matters deeply to us.

🔬 DEEP LEARNING, NOT DISCONNECTED TASKS

Wonder & Wild has always believed that children learn best when learning feels connected to real life, and that is why the new structure matters so much. Rather than children constantly jumping between separate subjects, they now have space to explore one subject area deeply across the week. It gives them room to ask questions, make connections and create something meaningful from what they are learning.

This might look like a Science week where children investigate a concept, complete hands-on experiments, record their observations and create a final project. It might look like a History week where they research a period of time, read stories, make artefacts and build something that helps them understand the world more clearly. It might look like a Visual Arts week where they study an artist, experiment with techniques and create their own work.

The goal is not just to cover content. The goal is for children to understand it, use it, talk about it and connect it to the world around them. That is where real learning begins.

🕵️ THOUGHTFUL INTERACTIVE LEARNING

Wonder & Wild is still a mostly offline, hands-on homeschool program. That has not changed. Children still need books, conversations, projects, cooking, gardening, board games, experiments, art materials and time outside. We believe deeply in learning that children can touch, build, discuss, test, create and experience.

Children are also growing up in a digital world, and part of educating them well is teaching them how to use technology wisely and intentionally. More interactive elements have been added throughout the program where they genuinely support the learning. These elements are there to add clarity, interest and support where they are useful, while hands-on learning remains at the heart of the program.

📣 NOW AVAILABLE FROM PRESCHOOL TO GRADE 8

One of the biggest announcements is that Wonder & Wild now goes all the way through to Grade 8. This has been one of the most requested additions from families, especially from those who joined Wonder & Wild, fell in love with the philosophy, found their rhythm and then began wondering what would happen as their children grew older.

Families wanted a pathway. They wanted to know that the same heart and approach could continue as their children grew, and now it can. Wonder & Wild now supports families from Preschool through to Grade 8, which means children can grow through the program with a consistent educational philosophy. The lessons mature with them, the projects deepen, the thinking becomes richer and independence increases, but the heart stays the same.

Strong academics, rich childhood, real-world learning and children being taught to think, not just complete tasks. That is the pathway we are building.

🌏 CREATED FOR HOMESCHOOLING FAMILIES AROUND THE WORLD

Australia will always be home, and our Australian families are deeply important to us. But Wonder & Wild is now being used by families across the major homeschooling countries around the world, including Australia, New Zealand, the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.

The program has been thoughtfully shaped so families in these countries can use it with confidence. The learning areas, skills, progression and expectations have been carefully developed to sit strongly within the educational requirements of these major homeschooling nations, while still allowing families the flexibility to meet their own state, province, territory or local registration requirements.

This flexibility matters because homeschooling requirements are not identical everywhere. Some families need formal paperwork. Some need to show outcomes or standards. Some need to keep samples. Some need to explain their learning plan. Some simply need a clear, comprehensive program that shows their child is receiving a strong education across the required learning areas. Wonder & Wild gives families a robust, well-rounded program that can be adapted to their local requirements while still keeping the homeschool day calm, achievable and beautiful.

🚀 MORE INCLUDED IN EVERY MEMBERSHIP

Another major change is that every membership now includes so much more. Wonder & Wild is not just the weekly curriculum. Every grade now includes the full program, the Mini Programs, the Parent Training Library, our private parent community and ongoing support. The only optional addition is Christian Education for families who would like to include that in their homeschool.

This means families are no longer simply accessing a curriculum. They are stepping into a complete homeschool experience with the lessons, resources, parent support and community they need to homeschool with greater confidence.

🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 MINI PROGRAMS FOR WHOLE-FAMILY LEARNING

The Mini Programs are now included inside every grade, and they are one of the most beautiful parts of Wonder & Wild. These are whole-family learning opportunities that can be pulled out whenever your family needs a change of rhythm, wants to follow an interest, bridge a holiday period or simply enjoy a rich project together.

They are not there to make homeschooling heavier. They are there to give families more options, more joy and more of those moments where siblings of different ages can learn side by side. Some of the richest homeschool memories happen when the whole family is learning together. Older children helping younger siblings, different ages exploring the same topic in different ways, conversations continuing around the dinner table and learning spilling out into the backyard, the kitchen and everyday life. That is what the Mini Programs are designed to nurture.

🎯 A PARENT TRAINING LIBRARY

One of the most important additions is the Parent Training Library, because a great curriculum is only one piece of homeschooling well. Parents need support too. They need to understand how children learn. They need to know why hands-on Mathematics matters more than rushing to a worksheet. They need to know how to teach reading, what to do when a child struggles, how to plan the week, how to lead the homeschool day and how to stop constantly wondering, “Am I doing enough?”

When parents grow in confidence, the whole homeschool changes. That has become a big part of the Wonder & Wild vision. We do not just want to hand families lessons. We want to help parents become confident homeschoolers.

When parents understand the why behind what they are doing, they are less likely to second-guess themselves, panic when something takes time or start adding random worksheets because they saw someone else do it online. Calm confidence is powerful, and that is what we want to build in parents.

📚 MORE THAN A CURRICULUM

When you step back and look at what Wonder & Wild has become, it really is so much more than a curriculum. It is a complete homeschool ecosystem with a clear pathway from Preschool to Grade 8, English and Mathematics taught consistently, one rich subject focus each week so children can go deeper, project-based learning, hands-on activities, interactive elements where they help, Mini Programs for whole-family learning, parent training, community support and practical resources to help families homeschool with confidence.

More than anything, it is still built around the same philosophy we started with: creating thinkers, not workers. That line matters because children need far more than the ability to follow instructions and complete pages. They need to ask good questions, solve problems, create things, understand the world around them and have the courage to contribute.

Wonder & Wild wants children to build strong academic foundations, but also to have childhoods full of books, dirt, projects, conversations, kitchen benches, gardens, board games, big ideas and time to wonder. That is what Wonder & Wild has always been about.

❤️ THE SAME HEART, EXPANDED

This new chapter is not a new philosophy, a different heart or a program that has forgotten where it came from. It is simply Wonder & Wild grown up a little. Stronger, clearer, richer and easier for families to use.

It is a homeschool program for families who want strong academics without sacrificing childhood. A program for parents who want clear guidance without losing the beauty of home. A program for children who were made to think, create, explore, question and grow.

We cannot wait for your family to experience it.
